April 1st, 2010 by Park County Travel Council | Comments (4)

Browsing through TripAdvisor reviews about Dan Miller’s Country Music Revue, you’ll find a handful of one-liners that immediately catch your eye; “A wonderfully entertaining family western musical revue”, “Dan Miller’s show was a real find, a musical experience not to be missed”, “A gem in downtown Cody” and “Wild Bill only ‘wish’ he’d seen this show”. With review headlines like that, it’s hard not to look into the show that’s been entertaining thousands of people from around the world.

First and foremost, who is Dan Miller? Well, in a nutshell, Dan Miller, along with his band mates, plays authentic American West music while dabbing in some cowboy poetry and comedy for a little variety. Dan also has a very colourful background, filled with opportunities in producing television series, infomercials, commercials and T.V. specials.

Catch The Cowboy Music Revue with Dan and his “Empty Saddles Band” at the historic Cody Theater and enjoy an evening of poetry, comedy, and a variety of traditional western, bluegrass and gospel music. The live show takes place May through September, Monday through Saturday at the Cody Theater at 1171 Sheridan Avenue. The cost is $14 person and the box office opens at 7:30pm.

My husband and I recently visited Cody and went to the Dan Miller Show. We enjoyed it very much! I am on the board of a revitalization effort in Crossville, TN, a small town about 100 miles from Nashville. When we were leaving the performance at the Cody Theater I asked Dan if he gets to Nashville much and he said that he did. I was wondering if he ever does fundraising performances for groups such as ours. In the winter there isn’t a whole lot happening but I think a show such as Dan’s would be very entertaining, and might be successful. We have a similar theather that has been lovingly restored on Main St. call The Palace Theater.

I would appreciate hearing from you as to cost of such a event, and possible dates that Dan will be in Tennessee. Thank you.

I saw a recent Larry’s Country Dinner and heard the latest song in tribute to Nadine. The reworded Jimmy Dean song Big John was so funny I fell to the living room floor laughing. In doing so and making so much noise in my laughter I missed hearing a few verses of the song. I sure would love hearing it again by buying a copy of the song. Great stuff, thank you for my floor time.

Hi Tim,

Thank you for your comment. I believe you are referring to the episode of Larry’s Country Diner that Dan Miller and his band were on….they are fantastic! I have forwarded your information on and you should be hearing back about possibly getting a copy of the song.
