Plains Indian Museum Powwow
The Plains Indian Powwow takes place in Cody each June. Visitors from around the world are drawn to the vibrant colors and the rhythmic beating drums of the Indian pow wow. A “pow wow”, meaning medicine man, showcases traditional costumes, dances and singers. Authentic Indian jewelry, beadwork, quillwork, clothing, basketry, pottery, paintings, sculpture and more are available for purchase as well as fry bread and Indian tacos. Plan to join us June 20-21, 2020.
