The temperature drops, but we don’t hibernate—wild fun is available all year long and the winter activities are endless: snowshoe or ski across a wild wonderland, where hot springs, deep snow, and crisp air coalesce to awaken your senses. Beartooth Rides and Guides, based in Cody, Wyoming, offers high-quality winter experiences in the Beartooth Mountains and Cooke City, Montana. We provide scenic trail rides into the Beartooth Range, guided backcountry snowmobile adventures, riding clinics, and avalanche education of all levels for everyone—from first-time riders and families to seasoned backcountry experts.

Our season runs December through April, following the best snow in the high country. Whether you want a relaxed, scenic tour, a confidence-building introduction to backcountry riding, or a challenging technical day with experienced guides, we’re here to help you enjoy the mountains safely and make the most of winter in the Beartooths.

The Park County Nordic Ski Association promotes cross-country skiing and snowshoeing by providing trails, activities and support to the Nordic community. They groom up to 19.2 km of ski trail with classic track and skate lanes at Pahaska Tepee.
