Capture the spirit of the Wild West through a fresh lens in a three-day photography workshop led by acclaimed photographers Scott Kranz and Stephen Matera. Set in the heart of Cody, Wyoming, this experience offers a chance to work closely with two outdoor photography experts as you capture fall foliage throughout the area! Venture to hidden locations known only to local guides, uncovering secret spots that highlight the area’s rugged beauty. When the day ends, the adventure continues with opportunities for astrophotography beneath a crystal-clear autumn night sky.

There are only 8 spots available in this workshop, giving you plenty of opportunities to ask Scott and Stephen questions as you hone your camera skills in an unforgettable setting. Leading up to the workshop, meet with your instructors virtually to discuss your previous experience as well as what you hope to gain from this workshop. Additionally, you will be sent a welcome kit, itinerary, and full packing list so you’re completely prepared for this special workshop. 

Each day of this workshop features shooting at sunrise and sunset, with moderate to strenuous day hiking (up to 10 miles each day). Participants should be physically fit for hiking with loaded packs over challenging terrain over consecutive days.

Stephen Matera is a Seattle-based professional landscape and outdoor lifestyle photographer. The National Geographic contributor creates images for the world’s leading publishers and outdoor equipment brands. 

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel and be refunded your workshop tuition (minus transaction fees) up to 30 days prior to the start of the workshop you registered for. If you cancel within 30 days of the start of the workshop, you will be refunded your workshop tuition (minus transaction fees) only if your spot can be filled by another individual.
