CODY, Wyo., April 12, 2024 – A digital series about famed Cody bullfighter Dusty Tuckness called “Heartbeat of the Rodeo” will premiere at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West April 25, 6-8 p.m.

This red-carpet event will feature photo opportunities, refreshments, live music and an autograph station. Fans and community members will have the chance to watch the four-part, 10-minute docuseries in the auditorium and meet Dusty.

Festivities will continue the next day with “Bullfighter Brunch: Celebrating Heartbeat of the Rodeo” at Vic Payne’s Studio & Gallery at 1946 State Street in Meeteetse 10 a.m. – noon. The brunch will be a special event to recognize all those involved in the making of the docuseries and the community of Meeteetse. A Western-American breakfast will be provided by Sherrie Frame.

“Anybody who knows Dusty is aware of how much work he has put into his craft,” said Ryan Hauck, executive director of Cody Yellowstone, the marketing arm for the region that includes the towns of Cody, Powell and Meeteetse, a large swath of the Shoshone National Forest and about half of Yellowstone National Park. “The riders know that his meticulous preparation and dedication are targeted toward their safety.”

Known as “Rodeo’s Ultimate Bullfighter” and the “Goat” (Greatest of all Time), the former Meeteetse resident has been named PRCA Bullfighter of the Year 10 times and has been selected to fight bulls at the National Finals Rodeo 15 years in a row. He has been a fixture at Cheyenne’s Frontier Days since 2012 and is universally respected by bullfighting competitors.
