Pre-meeting trips will begin post-lunch at 1 p.m. on the start day and end at 4 p.m. on the first day of the core meeting unless otherwise noted. Description: Join your colleagues for a night in Cheyenne, Wyo. – including a farm-to-table dinner – before heading to Cody. Sponsored by Visit Cheyenne, this pre-trip is a great option for Colorado-based members as well as those who are connecting through Denver International Airport (DEN). The Visit Cheyenne motorcoach will depart DEN at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29. Participants will arrive in Cheyenne at 3 p.m. Afternoon events include a tour of the Wyoming State Capitol and Wild West History Trolley Tour. At 6 p.m., guests will be treated to a farm-to-table Trailblazer Dinner at the Railspur Restaurant with one-time food truck owners-turned chefs Juan Coronado and Seth Stefanic featuring local food paired with Black Tooth Brewing Beer, Pine Bluffs Distilling Whiskey and Chronicles Distilling Vodka. Depart Cheyenne at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 30 and arrive Cody at 2:30 p.m. Following the meeting, depart Cody on Monday, June 3 at 5 a.m. and arrive DEN at 1 p.m. for flight connections. Colorado-based members who wish to drive to Cheyenne may park their cars at the hotel. The motorcoach will drop those guests at their cars on June enroute to DEN.

Description: Packrafting can mean many things. It can include large scale multi-day expeditions with compounding logistics and challenges. But it can also include vehicle supported day-trips with friends close to home. Wyoming Rivers Cooperative has been offering a full suite of packrafting adventures since 2020, facilitating trips all over Wyoming. For this trip, we look forward to providing guests with an introduction to packrafts on two of the stretches of river near Cody. We will be fully outfitting guests with equipment and food, as well as instruction. WRC hopes to leave guests feeling more prepared to tackle their own adventures. Participants should expect a full-day out on the water in variable conditions on the 29th, with a half day on the 30th. We are excited to show you some truly wild country and help you discover new skills and passions.

Description: This adventure begins with arrivals on Tuesday. You will be provided with $100 in Cody bucks – which can be used at eateries, breweries and elsewhere – as well as museum passes and coupons so you can explore the destination on your own. We recommend strolling Sheridan Avenue while listening to the GPS-triggered, self-guided TravelStorys Downtown Walking Tour, which highlights some of the town’s famous architecture and history. On Wednesday, dress warmly and in layers for an all-day guided caving adventure in nearby Spirit Mountain, also known as Cedar Mountain. This prominent peak rises above the town of Cody, and it was beloved by town founder Buffalo Bill Cody, who told his friends that’s where he wanted to be buried. Some people believe a legend that upon his death in Denver in 1917, Cody’s friends snatched his body from a Denver mortuary, returned it to Cody and buried him somewhere on the mountain so he could forever overlook the town he founded.
