Snowmobile Community

After graduating from Powell High School, Bert Miller entered the automotive field and recently completed his 40th year working for Denny Menholt Chevrolet GMC in Cody. Shortly after high school, Bert married his wife, Brenda, a Cody native.

Over 30 years ago, Bert’s passion for snowmobiling began. With a young family of four and two older sleds, the Miller family discovered a fun winter sport they could enjoy together. Family has always been a cornerstone of Bert’s life, and snowmobiling provided a perfect community for Bert and Brenda to raise their children, Sarah and Jeremy. It allowed them to enjoy the outdoors together in a place that nurtured both a love of recreation and a strong sense of togetherness.

The Miller family’s passion for snowmobiling led Bert to join the local Cody County Snowmobile Association. Throughout the years, Bert has dedicated himself to giving back to the sport of snowmobiling. He has held numerous leadership positions, including President and Director of the Cody County Snowmobile Association, President of the Wyoming State Snowmobile Association (currently serving as a director), and President of the American Council of Snowmobile Associations (representing 17 snow belt states and collaborating with Canadian neighbors).

Bert’s commitment extends beyond snowmobiling. He has served on the Wyoming State Trails Council under former Governor Matt Mead and current Governor Mark Gordon. Currently, he enjoys his roles on the local Governmental Affairs Committee and the Park County Outdoor Recreation Collaborative. Driven by his love for the outdoors, Bert is always looking for ways to promote all outdoor activities and his great state of Wyoming.
