Address: The Cody TheatreWyoming PBS cordially invites you to a special community screening of its award-winning documentary, Call of the West, on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at The Cody Theatre.
Recently honored with a national Public Media Award, Call of the West explores the enduring legacy and evolving future of the American dude ranch. Filmed at working ranches across Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Arizona, the documentary follows the families preserving this distinctly Western tradition while navigating economic pressures, modernization and generational change.
Tuesday, Oct. 6 | Cody
- 5 pm: Reception and a final opportunity to view The Wrangle: 100 Years of Dude Ranching at the Dude Ranch Museum, 1122 12th St.
- 5:30 pm: Doors open at the Cody Theatre, 1171 Sheridan Ave. Concessions will be available.
- 6 pm: Screening begins.
- Admission: Free and open to the public.
The evening will begin with refreshments at the Dude Ranch Museum and a final viewing of The Wrangle: 100 Years of Dude Ranching. Featuring photography by Scott T. Baxter, the acclaimed traveling exhibition highlights 26 ranches that have endured for a century or more.
In celebration of its centennial, the Dude Ranchers Association will also offer door prize giveaways at the screening.
