Snowmobiling

Feel the freedom of speeding across snowbound landscapes on a thrilling snowmobile adventure in Cody Yellowstone. With almost 7,000 square miles of unspoiled wilderness, and 60 miles of groomed runs, Park County is the perfect place to blaze your own trail. You’ll often have our great outdoors all to yourself—it’s much less crowded here than in southern parts of the state. Sunlight Basin and the Beartooth Mountains are a few of our favorite places for snowmobiling fun, but we invite you to get out and explore for yourself!

When planning a snowmobiling excursion in Cody Yellowstone, make sure you bring the following items along:

  • Proper Gear
  • Warm Clothing
  • Avalanche Beacon
  • Shovel and Probes
  • Food and Water

For nearly 50 years, the Cody Country Snowmobiling Association has worked in conjunction with Wyoming State Parks & Historical Sites to enact snowmobiling legislation, improve trail construction and grooming, and create trail maps and resources. Visit their site for more information and advice for planning your Cody Yellowstone snowmobiling excursion.
