114th Meeteetse Labor Day Celebration

The Meeteetse Labor Day Celebration is one of Wyoming's longest-running community festivals, dating back to 1912. Held every Labor Day weekend in the small ranching town of Meeteetse, it celebrates the area's Western heritage with several days of family-friendly events.

Typical highlights include:

• A Labor Day Parade through downtown.
• A Labor Day Rodeo, which has been the Big Horn Rodeo Circuit Finals since 2015.
• A craft fair featuring local artists and vendors.
• Car show and community displays.
• Cornhole and horseshoe tournaments.
• Chuck Perkins Memorial Roping competition.
• Street games for children and families.
• The popular Duck Race, where numbered rubber ducks are released into the Greybull River to raise funds for local organizations.
• Live music, food, and other community activities throughout the weekend.

For 2026, the celebration is scheduled for September 5–7, with the main parade and rodeo taking place on Labor Day (Monday).
