Meeteetse Labor Day Rodeo

The Meeteetse Labor Day Rodeo is a historic Wyoming rodeo that serves as the centerpiece of the town's annual Labor Day Celebration. Held at the Meeteetse Rodeo Grounds on Labor Day, it has been running for more than 110 years, making it one of Wyoming's longest-standing community rodeos. Since 2015, it has also been the Big Horn Rodeo Circuit Finals, where season champions are crowned after the final events.

The rodeo features the traditional events you'd expect at a Western rodeo, including:

• Saddle bronc riding
• Bull riding
• Steer wrestling
• Team roping
• Tie-down roping
• Barrel racing
• Breakaway roping
• Junior and youth events (varies by year)

Slack competitions are typically held in the morning before the main performance, with the rodeo performance beginning around 1:00 p.m. on Labor Day.
