Jake Clarks Mule Days was established in 1997 and highlights the diverse ability of the American Saddle Mule.
The mule is coming into great popularity as an animal that is great to use on trails, in the mountains and on the ranch and arena.The mules show off their abilities at
- The all mule rodeo, and jack pot team ropings and barrel racings.
- Mounted Shooting Seminars and Competition that is a fast paced western events.
- Enjoy the all mule parade
- The great all mule rodeo followed by a great steak or hamburger dinner and a live band at the barn dance.
We are most known for the quality mules that are sold each year at our Select Saddle Mule Auction.

Guided Tour of Legend Rock 2026
Join the Meeteetse Museums on June 13th for a tour of the Legend Rock State Petroglyph Site with Dr. Julie Francis! Legend Rock is a 1,312-foot near-vertical cliff with more than 92 petroglyph panels and over 300 petroglyph figures, a unique visit made more impactful with expert interpretation from Dr. Francis.
This tour is limited to two groups of 10 people; pre-registration is required. The first tour will start at 9:30 AM and the second at 11 AM. Registration will open to Meeteetse Museum VIP Members on May 8th, then open to the general public on May 15th at 10 AM. Register by calling (307)868-2423 or by visiting the Museums in person. Registration is open until all slots are filled; signing up early ensures you have a spot on this unique tour!
Legend Rock is located about 40 miles south of Meeteetse; participants must provide their own transportation to the Legend Rock site.

Buffalo Bill's Wild West Spectacular
Returning for its 11th summer; award-winning, original "Wild West Spectacular the Musical" LIVE on stage! This historically based, comedic full-length production is offered on select days for 8 weeks during the summer at the historic downtown Cody Theatre, located on Sheridan Avenue in Cody, Wyoming.
Grab some grilled sandwiches, gourmet wagyu or plain hotdogs, Cascade Glacier dipped ice cream bars, lactose free soft serve ice cream, popcorn, soda, and other treats at Clem's Canteen & Creamery in the lobby before taking a seat. You'll meet Annie Oakley, "Wild Bill" Hickok, Frank Butler, sharpshooters, saloon girls, and other colorful characters from the west as Buffalo Bill Codys dream of becoming the WORLD'S greatest showman to ever live, comes to life. Our dancers, musicians, and actors are certain to entertain you with the fascinating true story of William F. Cody, our towns namesake; and well-known songs that will have you singing along. For an added unique experience, during intermission the audience can interact with cast members in character and belly up to the stage bar to buy a sarsaparilla.
It's a full night of live entertainment that all ages and groups will enjoy!.
Nightly Performances at 7pm on select days June 17- August 8
June 30 through July 4 performances will be 2:00 p.m.

Photographing Things with Wings
Join the Meeteetse Museums on June 20th at 3:00 PM for Photographing Things with Wings, a discussion of some basic tips for capturing images of birds and insects. This discussion/how-to guide will be led by Kathy Lichtendahl. Beginner photographers welcome, including those who mostly use their smartphones for photos!
Kathy is a professional nature photographer based in Cody, Wyoming, where she has owned and run Light in the Valley, LLC since 2014. A graduate of the Photographic Communications program at Northwest College, Kathy went on to teach at the college between 2015 and 2018. Her images can be found accompanying stories promoting conservation in a wide variety of local, regional and national publications. Kathy also spends a number of weeks each year leading workshops in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and beyond for several well known photo expedition companies.
