Members have three airport options with included ground transportation:
Yellowstone Regional Airport (COD) in Cody serves the entire area with flights offered by United Airlines with daily flights from Denver International Airport (DEN). Cody Yellowstone will provide ground transportation to town from the Yellowstone Regional Airport. (Drive time from COD to downtown Cody is less than 10 minutes.) Ground transportation will be provided from COD multiple times on May 30 and June 3 as well as for pre and post trips.
Members may also fly into Billings Logan International Airport, Mont. (BIL). The drive from BIL to Cody is 107 miles, and the drive time is approximately two hours. This route travels through several small Montana and Wyoming towns. Drivers will be treated to views of the Shoshone National Forest and Absaroka Mountain range to the West. We will provide a free shuttle from Billings that will depart at 2:30 p.m. to provide enough time for travelers to arrive in Cody for the opening night events. Ground transportation will be provided from BIL on *May 30 and June 3 as well as for pre and post trips. *Members flying into BIL on May 30 should arrive before 2:30 p.m. for ground transportation to Cody in time of the opening events.
A third option is for members to fly into Denver International Airport (DEN) on Wednesday, May 29, and participate in the Cheyenne-to-Cody Road Trip pre-trip. Our partners at Visit Cheyenne will provide pick-up at DEN and ground transportation to Cheyenne, Wyo. (drive time is approximately 90 minutes). The motorcoach from DEN departs at 1 p.m., so members should plan their flights accordingly. Participants will overnight in Cheyenne, where they will be treated to a tour of the Capitol building, Wild West History Trolley Tour, special dinner and overnight accommodations. On May 30, the Cheyenne motorcoach will depart at 8:30 a.m. for the six-hour drive to Cody. Return transportation will be provided after the meeting, with departure from Cody at 5 a.m. and arrival at DEN at 1 p.m. on June 3. There are three ways for members to participate in this option: 1) Members can book roundtrip flights to DEN on May 29 and after 1 p.m. on June. 3. 2) Members can book one-away DEN arrivals or departures and one-way COD arrivals or departures. The second option allows members to participate in other pre-trips as well as post-trips. 3) Members can drive to Cheyenne and park at the pre-trip host hotel, Fairfield Inn and Suites, and take the motorcoach to and from Cody from there. (The motorcoach will drop off participants who park in Cheyenne enroute to DEN on June 3.)
