The Shoshone River through Cody, Wyoming is a hidden gem within the region. The Shoshone River is fed by mountain snowmelt and hydrothermal springs. The river cuts through limestones, sandstone, and clays that were once part of a massive prehistoric sea stretching from present day Canada to Mexico. These canyon walls of sedimentary rock hide a river that holds whitewater, wildlife, and wonder. Wyoming River Trips is excited to show you the magic of the Shoshone River — the trip will be fully outfitted, and participants will work as a team with the leadership of a WRT guide. We look forward to showing you our hometown river!
