The Bill Cody Ranch is the largest horseback riding facility on the North Fork of the Shoshone River with horses from gentle to spirited, and riding access to thousands of acres covering both forest and wilderness areas. The property features 17 cozy cabins, a family chalet, main lodge and executive log homes. They offer 2hr trail rides starting at 8:30am, 12:30pm, and 6:30pm. They also offer 4hr trail rides that include lunch at 9am.

Elephant Head Lodge is a AAA Double Diamond approved, small log-cabin mountain resort located just 11.7 miles east of Yellowstone National Park in the Shoshone National Forest. The lodge and most of the cabins are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The lodge, restaurant, and the “Trapper” cabin were all built in the 1920's by Buffalo Bill Cody’s niece, Josephine Thurston and her husband Harry W. Thurston.

US Highway 14-16-20, the Buffalo Bill Cody Scenic Byway,
follows the North Fork of the Shoshone River through the scenic
East Yellowstone Valley to the East Entrance of Yellowstone
National Park. The route is known for its abundant wildlife,
astonishing rock formations, and recreational opportunities. Six
miles west of Cody the highway skirts Buffalo Bill Reservoir, a
source of excellent trout fishing, and location of Buffalo Bill State
Park.

Buffalo Bill’s Irma Hotel is the gathering and meeting place for cowboys, artists, ranchers, outfitters and locals. The restaurant is famous for its Prime Rib, and also features many delicious steaks including a Buffalo Rib Eye, seafood sensations such as our Wild West Salmon, and our delicious steak and jumbo shrimp combination.

The hotel has a full menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets every day of the week in the summer and often during the rest of the year. You can also sit on the porch and order a snack and a drink and enjoy watching the Gunfighters perform. The Irma still captures the imagination of guests with its turn-of-the-century spirit and delicious food.
